Integra is no stranger to the document destruction business. We have been destroying business and residential documents since 1988. Our program is a value-added service to the Waste-Away complete recycling and waste approach. Our system is simple and cost effective to increase employee time for other duties. Customers have the efficiency of services provided by one company and the assurance of service handled properly with confidentiality.
Integra helps small and large businesses with their document shredding and compliance requirements. The ultra-secure document shredding system takes document destruction to a higher level of security and dependability for peace of mind.
Today, we service greater than 16 counties in the northern Indiana and southern Michigan area. We are always interested in talking with potential customers in new service areas.
In 2009, we decided to expand the Waste-Away recycling capabilities by adding a state-of the-art recycling facility right in our backyard. Recycling Works is located at 605 Mason Street, Elkhart, IN, and it is home to the single stream recycling process, as well as Integra, the Waste-Away Group document destruction company. This facility processes recycling collected from municipalities and subscription customers within a 100-mile radius of Elkhart.
Ownership of the Waste-Away Group is comprised of second and third generation family members. Charles Himes, Sr, formed the company in 1940 and it began as a one-truck operation. Today ownership is represented by a group of five people; second generation brothers, Charles Himes II and Stephen Himes and third generation brothers, Charles Himes III, Christopher Himes and Kenneth Himes. The owners work together to manage and maintain the multi-functional company as the market leader.
